🧼 What Each Ingredient Does
Aqua (Water)
Purified distilled water forms the base of the spray and allows the conditioning ingredients to disperse evenly across the coat.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
A soothing botanical ingredient known for its skin-conditioning properties. Aloe helps support skin comfort and hydration while refreshing the coat.
Glycerin
A plant-derived humectant that attracts and retains moisture, helping support healthy skin and coat hydration.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water Powder
Coconut water contains naturally occurring minerals and nutrients that help lightly condition and refresh the coat.
Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract
A gentle, alcohol-free vanilla extract prepared in vegetable glycerin. It provides a soft natural scent while remaining mild for sensitive pets.
Hydrolyzed Oat Protein
A conditioning protein that helps support coat softness and manageability while providing light conditioning benefits.
Decyl Glucoside
A very mild plant-derived ingredient that helps the spray disperse evenly through the coat and lightly lift surface dirt.
Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid
These ingredients work together as a gentle broad-spectrum preservative system that helps keep the spray safe and stable by preventing the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold.
Despite its name, benzyl alcohol is not the same as drying alcohols like ethanol or rubbing alcohol. It is a naturally occurring compound found in many plants and fruits and is widely used in personal care products as part of mild preservation systems.
Salicylic acid in this blend is used in extremely small amounts as part of the preservative system and is naturally associated with plant sources such as willow bark. Sorbic acid originates from compounds historically found in berries, and the glycerin used in this system is plant-derived.
Together, these ingredients help maintain product safety and freshness while allowing us to avoid harsher traditional preservatives.
Citric Acid
Citric acid is a naturally occurring organic acid originally found in citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. In cosmetic and personal care products, it is typically produced through a natural fermentation process using plant-based sugars.
In this formula, citric acid is used in very small amounts to gently adjust and balance the pH of the spray so it remains appropriate for pet skin. Proper pH helps maintain skin comfort and supports the overall stability of the formula.
