Aqua (Water)
Purified distilled water forms the base of the shampoo and allows the gentle cleansing ingredients to disperse evenly across your pet’s coat.
Coco-Glucoside
A mild, plant-derived cleanser made from coconut and sugar. It helps lift dirt and oils from the coat while remaining gentle on sensitive skin.
Decyl Glucoside
Another very gentle, plant-based cleanser that supports foaming and cleansing without stripping the coat’s natural oils.
Glycerin
A plant-derived humectant that helps attract and retain moisture in the skin and coat, helping prevent dryness during bathing.
Sodium PCA
A naturally occurring moisturizing factor that helps maintain hydration in the skin. It supports skin comfort and helps prevent dryness after bathing. It is typically derived from plant sugars through fermentation and is widely used in skin and hair care products because of its strong ability to attract and retain moisture.
Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour
Colloidal oatmeal is widely known for its soothing properties. It helps calm irritated skin, reduce dryness, and support overall skin comfort.
Hydrolyzed Oat Protein
A conditioning protein that helps support coat softness and manageability while adding light conditioning benefits.
Hydroxyethylcellulose
A plant-derived thickener that gives the shampoo its smooth, gel-like consistency and helps evenly suspend ingredients throughout the formula.
Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid
These ingredients work together as a broad-spectrum preservative system to keep the product safe and stable by preventing the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold.
Despite the name, benzyl alcohol is not the same as drying alcohols like ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. It is a naturally occurring aromatic compound found in many plants, including fruits and teas. In this formula, it functions as part of a gentle preservation system.
Salicylic acid in this blend is used in very small amounts as part of the preservative system and is derived from natural plant sources such as willow bark. Sorbic acid is derived from compounds originally found in berries, and glycerin in this system is plant-derived.
Together, these ingredients help keep the shampoo safe and stable without the use of harsher traditional preservatives.
Xanthan Gum
A natural thickener derived from fermented sugars that helps stabilize the formula and improve the texture of the shampoo.
Citric Acid
Citric acid is a naturally occurring organic acid originally found in citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. In cosmetic and personal care products, it is typically produced through a natural fermentation process using plant-based sugars.
In this formula, citric acid is used in very small amounts to gently adjust and balance the pH of the spray so it remains appropriate for pet skin. Proper pH helps maintain skin comfort and supports the overall stability of the formula.
